Hackhawk Down

POSTED: Wednesday, June 1, 2011, 2:51 PM

Something really remarkable happened in the world of politics yesterday. This man was lifted up by a helicopter! And they say America has lost its technological edge.

No, semi-seriously, I guess as a "liberal blogger" I'm supposed to be outraged that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie took a state helicopter to watch a few innings of his kid's baseball game. Whatever -- I mean, people also want me to be outraged because President Obama plays golf. I think both activities are legal (I'm pretty sure Obama's golf is, anyway) and that being the case, in a democracy the voters get to decide whether these things are really important to them.

We live in a strange world where it's cool to coddle billionaires and bully public school teachers, but a short hop on a state helicopter is an outrage. Personally, I'd say make billionaires pay their fair share -- and then Christie can ride the helicopter to whereever he wants.

i will note this, however -- if this is the reason why Christie took the helicopter, it's not very important state business.

I am going to critique Christie in the same logical and insightful manner that the right wingers critique Obama: Fat, fat the water rat!

The funniest thing about this incident with Governor Doughnut is that the chopper landed then he had a state limo waiting to drive him the 100 yards from the open field to the baseball game. Pathetic.

The best part was learning that Governor Krispy Kreme can't walk 300 feet under his own power. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he finagled one of those bogus handicapped stickers for his limo so he can park closer to the door.

Bird- you are telling the truth, they will never acknowledge that fact!!

Baseball- the point the Libs are making is that it's a waste of taxpayer money. Bird is simply telling the truth and your twisting is typical of the Libs as well as your hate.

Oh yeah, along with the hateful words you can always count on the race card!! SAD!!

A 48 year old man is too fat to walk 100 yards. This is a big problem in this country, and I do mean big. And bill.atkins continues his assault on Michelle Obama for trying to get Americans to eat healthier...probably while slamming down 2 cheese steaks for lunch. I like some of the things Christie has done, but still waiting for my property taxes to go down. I am certain it will happen soon. (That was not meant to be a factual statement.)
