Since philly.com is not allowing comments on either the story about the SEAL being shot to death or the Vietnam vet taking the hostage in Alabama, I'll comment on them here. These incidents betray two things: the real face of unlimited gun ownership in America, and the destruction of our young men by a nation that persists in sending them off to immoral, useless wars, where they learn that killing is OK.

I was thing the same thing about the SEAL, Dave. Kind of blows apart the whole "good guy with a gun stops the bad guy with a gun" nonsense we constantly hear from gun worshipers. This man was highly skilled and one of the best in the business with a firearm. Then again, gun nuts don't want to have an honest debate about the saturation and easy access of cheap firearms and ammunition in America. They just want to hold onto their guns - as many of them as they can get their hands on.

i agree, no conspiracy in my mind. Just someone who hates guns, wearing mom jeans, being a tough guy. If he "does skeet all the time" , why only one lame photo?
