Don't believe everything you read

POSTED: Friday, July 25, 2008, 9:25 AM

The rumor since Monday is that Philadelphia Magazine named Attytood "best blog" or some such thing -- in my world, it doesn't exist if it's not online, so I guess I'll need to buy the magazine for myself, and so should you. If it's true, I am grateful, humble, honored, and just like you, puzzled :-).

To anyone who saw the magazine and is visiting for the first time, hi! -- I'm on "book vacation" (how's that for an oxymoron?) and the regular blogging of multple daily posts won't resume until mid-August or so. I hope you'll stick around.

"fantasies about male body parts written by Republican lunatics." Tps says this as if it is a bad thing. And here I thought that liberals had more of an "anything goes" attytood about such things.

soon to be buried by LATIMES..Subject: john edwards Hey bloggers, There has been a little buzz surrounding John Edwards and his alleged affair. Because the only source has been the National Enquirer we have decided not to cover the rumors or salacious speculations. So I am asking you all not to blog about this topic until further notified. If you have any questions or are ever in need of story ideas that would best fit your blog, please don't hesitate to ask Keep rockin, Tony That will certainly calm paranoia about the Mainstream Media (MSM) suppressing the Edwards scandal. ... P.S.: Is the Times' edict a) part of a double-standard /////Security Guard Confirms Late-Night Encounter Between Former Sen. John Edwards, Tabloid Reporters In Beverly Hills Hotel Friday , July 25, 2008 ADVERTISEMENTA hotel security guard told FOXNews.com he intervened this week between a man he identified as former Sen. John Edwards and tabloid reporters who chased down the former presidential hopeful after what they're calling a rendezvous with his mistress and love child. The Beverly Hilton Hotel guard said he encountered a shaken and ashen-faced Edwards — whom he did not immediately recognize — in a hotel men's room early Tuesday morning in a literal tug-of-war with reporters on the other side of the door. "What are they saying about me?" the guard said Edwards asked. "His face just went totally white," the guard said, when Edwards was told the reporters were shouting out questions about Edwards and Rielle Hunter, a woman the National Enquirer says is the mother of his child. The guard said he escorted Edwards, who was not a registered guest at the hotel, out of the building after 2 a.m. Edwards did not say anything while he was escorted out, said the guard, adding that at times the reporters on the scene were "rough on him," sticking a camera in his face and shouting questions.

"...when was the last "fantasy" posted? ..." ----))) Not sure if any have made it through since the site's format changeover, but on a regular basis Republican lackeys comment on how much they miss Ricky French's posts Just check out the threads from yesterday or the day before. And no, legatus, sorry to yet again bust your ill-informed misconception about liberals, but they do generally consider sick and twisted fantasies to be sick and twisted. The only ones that ever defended Ricky French's bile (let alone posted about how much they enjoyed them and how much they miss them), were Republicans.

effin hilarious, mookie. So, reporters caught Edwards red-handed. Reporters with cameras. Uh. Were are the PHOTOS, mookie? You know, those things that reporters take with cameras? You know, those things that reporters would get tens of thousands of dollars for, if they had actually taken photos of Edwards in such a situation? Tell us, mookie: do you think that your simply astounding level of nativity and gullibility might explain why you're a Republican lackey? What's your next post about? Let me guess. MADONNA ARRESTED FOR SKIING NAKED? FERGIE POSES FOR PLAYBOY? TOILET PAPER SHORTAGE LEADS TO RIOTS? Good lord, what an idiot.

Everyone does so for themselves, legatus. Apparently you didn't consider Ricky's fantasies of excrement and male body parts and excrement to be sick and twisted. And, apparently, many of your ideological brethren felt the same as you. I respect your right to find something redeeming about posting detailed comments about sex and excrement on a public forum. I can't agree with you, however.

Actually, it is clear to ~everyone~ on this forum that Richard French's comments were accepted (and considered humorous) simply because they were poking fun at YOU. You can believe that acceptance or rejection of scatological remarks is correlated to political ideology if it soothes your hurt feelings however.

"You can believe that acceptance or rejection of scatological remarks is correlated to political ideology if it soothes your hurt feelings however." Fact is, legatus, that some commenters expressed gleeful joy derived from Ricky's posts, expressed breathless anticipation for Ricky's next post, and have no expressed regret that they can't read his scatological and h*m*erotic posts any longer. They were all "conservatives." "Liberals," on the other hand, expressed a very different point of view of Ricky's contributions to Attytood. Make of that what you will.

SUNSHINE SLEUTH .. remember when nat enq told us about mcvain cheating on wife without photos??NATIONAL ENQUIRER reporters Alan Butterfield and Alexander Hitchen filed a criminal complaint with the Beverly Hills Police Department on Thursday, July 25, charging that hotel security acted unlawfully while the reporters were trying to question the former senator. Edwards now could be contacted by police to give an eyewitness account of what occurred. Hotel security tried to stop the reporters from questioning Edwards in the basement of the hotel at approximately 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 after Edwards came off an elevator and appeared to be attempting to leave the hotel unseen.
