Bucks County billboard praises Gingrich -- for adultery!

If Mitt Romney digs himself out of his current hole and somehow wins the GOP nomination, maybe he should pick Ashley Madison as his running mate.
Never heard of Ashley Madison? Me neither, but according to my email in box, AshleyMadison.com (Link? Are you serious?) is, ahem, "the world's premier extra-marital dating site with over 12 million members in 17 countries." And here you were bemoaning the lack of entrepreneurship in America. Anyway, the other claim to fame at Ashleymadison.com is that they're big fans of current Republican 2012 frontrunner Newt Gingrich.
How big? They've erected (where are Beavis and Butthead when you need them?) a giant billboard monment to fhe former house speaker which is located, for reasons known only to them, on Route 1 in Bucks County in what their e-mail release calls the "sleepy town" (Blogger's note: Ouch!) of Morrisville, just across the Delaware River from Trenton.
If you can't read the signage above, it says "Faithful Republican...Unfaithful Husband."
Says the news release from a company CEO that I don't feel like naming: "Gingrich proves that marital fidelity has no bearing on someone's ability to do a job. Rather than judge him, Americans have finally embraced the reality that affairs are commonplace, and perhaps paradoxically, might be an indication of great leadership to come. He is not the first nor last politician who will step outside of their marriage.”
Of course, this billboard is going to be subjected to the Cialis effect: Call your lawyer immediately if it stays up longer than four hours. And when the inevitable attorney for the Gingrich campaign makes the inevitable phone call and the billboard comes down, the good-or-whatever people at Ashleymadison.com will benefit from another round of news coverage. What a cheap publicity stunt! What kind of journalistic sap might fall for this?
Oops, as Rick Perry is fond of saying.
Well, OK, there is actually a broader point here. On the same day this billboard appeared, the venerable conservative publication National Review put out an editorial begging Republicans NOT to rally around Gingrich, and it hammered him hard for his three marriages and two known affairs. When the National Review and an online cheating site are going in the same direction, that's what we nowadays call a meme. Gingrich had been getting a fairly easy ride -- just two months ago the mild joke on "SNL" was that Newt didn't really want to be running for the White House -- but that's officially over as of today. From here on out, it's "Hardball."
OK, maybe that wasn't the best choice of words, either.

What's even funnier are the dingbat "evangelical christians" who are sitting around in a circle (j**k) debating "whether Gingrich has repented enough to garner their forgiveness"....Now, aside from the very obvious hypocrisy of that moronic statement - makes you wonder whether these idiot children even read the new testament - it dimply points out how much these lying scum bags will pander to a very vocal, very stupid minority, CiceroSpuriousDeodatus- r/atheism

Worked for Clinton TKL008- Let me spell it out for. The Democratic Party isn't beholden to the evangelical right. We don't care what consenting adult do with their sex lives. The republicans, on the other hand, sit in judgement of everyone's life choices, but do not practice what they preach.

Libs are scared to death of this guy. Fred Berry- Only in the sense that they're worried about weight-related health problems or infidelity-related STDs taking him out before he's got the nomination locked up. If you had ANY sense of these things, you would know that Nominee Newt is re-election insurance for Team Obama. They can't believe their good fortune that it's even in the realm of possibility.
defeNEstrati - @ F. Berry: Intelligent people too!!
justacarpenter - Newt has a brain. barack has a teleprompter.

Newt is easily the most moderate of the crowd...including Obama. Libs are afraid that Newt is going to swipe those middle voters who swing elections. kelprod2- Think again (yes, "again" ... I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt) ..... http://www.ipsos-na.com/news-polls/pressrelease.aspx?id=5437 ..... Not only does Gingrich poll far lower than Romney in a head-to-head with Obama. He fares worse against Romney when independents (i.e. "those middle voters who swing elections") are factored in. The GOP's circular firing squad of candidates is a weak incumbent's dream come true. Even I am amazed by the Obama's good (dumb?) luck.

487 days at Camp David
490 days at Crawford Ranch
43 days at Kennebunkport Compound
Total: 1020 days, more than 1/3rd of his presidency. Bush set the record for most vacation time taken by president. bushmciworlcomenron - You can't bring bushie up to the repubs, they think he is in NO way responsible for the economic mess we are in. However, they still bring up Cliinton every chance they get. You know, Clinton, the last president to have a balanced budget. (But, they'll distort history and try to take credit for that as well)

seems you on the left were hypocrites. defending bill for 8 years now thumping newt for the same thing. maybe you should just be quiet rysagr- "maybe you should just be quiet" . . . . . Yeah, only Republicans can be hypocrites. How dare we point that out.
This has got to be a new low. Whether a man keeps vows he makes is irrelevant? If I were Callista I'd definitely be worried, except that this bag of air is now so aged. farhorizons- you may have missed it, but in 1992, the American people decided that character (in this case marital fidelity) was no longer important when it came to electing a president.

Anyone who believes that Gingrich has Obama and the Democrats scared might want to look at the reaction of leading conservative writers and former Gingrich allies, who are terrified at the prospect of Gingrich at the top of the ticket, not only because the Republicans would not gain the White House but becuase they would also lose Congress. He is kryptonite and they know it. Romney would give Obama the most trouble and eventually the Republican primary voters will come to their senses or will see their party go down in flames in 2012. chuckw
Clinton was shacking up with everyone but his wife since he became governor but that's ok for a Demcorat. The word Democrat is synonymous with the word hypocrite. The sad thing in this whole presidential election is that no matter who wins, the American people lose. Obama is without a doubt THE worst POTUS in our history. Another four years of his mismanagement of the coutry is something that we cannot afford. Only slightly better but not by much is the ragtag group of Republicans running. The only good thing I can see coming out of having any of these Republicans winning is them stemming the tide of blind liberalism furthered by Obama and his administration. psyrus- "The sad thing in this whole presidential election is that no matter who wins, the American people lose." . . . . .Thanks for being honest. I tend to agree. But if you can prove to me Obama's really a "liberal" I just might change my mind.
Funny article and I like the billboard. If marriage had term limits, there wouldn't be a problem. msmcdickey- Just proves that everything old is Newt again.
I much rather the Newty-boy have his hands on a babe than have his finger on the button!!! philasportsfan
@bill.atkins: Your "Boy" eh?? Does that make you 'feel-good' saying that? Bush had at least FOUR longer vacations. Is that fact lost on you? @rysagr: repugs are the "family values" party, aren't they? Hypocrites. The 1's that spend > $50 mil investigating Clinton's hummer from a fat-chick.. chris-odessa- Lighten up. Batty struggled to not say "pantload", after all. And it's a legitimate beef - if he'd man up and take at least triple the vacation time like say Bush, or twice the vacation time like Reagan, batty just might survive the holidays.
If I recall correctly, it was Republicans who investigated Bill Clinton for 8 years and thought that the fact that he had an affair was an issue. Newton Gangrich is a Republican candidate. No Democrat will be voting for Newton Gangrich. I know these type of things are a big challenge for Republicans to sort out. Democrats aren't making an issue of the affair. They are pointing out the hypocracy of Republicans who made an issue of Clinton's one affair but support a guy who cheated on two wives mutiple times. asked for a divorce when his wife was in the hospital being treated for cancer and suggested that Clinton should resign while he himself was having an affair. And that's just one issue. Obama is the worst president in history? That's a good one. The facts don't support that statement. Clearly, Bush was a complete idiot and belongs in jail. Can't get much worse than Bush. MikeP- I'll say it again, there is a difference between having an affair and giving someone rug burns in the oval office.

Newt Gingrich didn't simply cheat on his wives - he ABANDONED them and his young children when his wives were SICK and he left them for other women. He's a pathological liar and a complete disgrace BY ANY STANDARDS. Oh, but that's not going to affect his ability to lead?????? How low can Republicans sink??? Obviously, the man behind the billboard has no regards for his wives or children either. No wonder he loves Doughboy the Disgrace. Foxclove5- Ease up, Foxclove. Newt was doing it out of patriotism for his country!!
wokmaster - The fact that ANYONE thinks he is a viable candidate for the office of president is a great indication of just how pathetic EVERY Republican candidate is currently. They can't find 1!! They literally can't find 1 candidate! How unbelievably pathetic (and funny) is that?!? I am seriously considering writing in "Donald Duck", on teh ballot, the next election.
justacarpenter - Here's a shocker - A "truther", no a "full metal truther" according to RedState, is threatening Gingrich's lead in Iowa. You can't make this stuff up anymore.

I'm still for Herman--because I read that Dem's don't fool around--except Billy C. paulfromtheoblongtable
At the time of Clinton and his escapades, I made no judgments. I thought he was fine as president. I didn't like that he lied about it. I feel the same way about Newt. What does tick me off is that repubs are willing to look the other way because he is a conserv. It was the same with Bristol Palin. Had the knocked up teenager been Chelsea Clinton it would have been #1 news story. But, everyone was supposed to respect the delicate nature Bristol Palin found herself in... So much for teaching abstinence only. I make no judgments either way. I just hate hypocrisy and the Orwellian nature of it all. PotteryPete- Since 1980, "family values" has been the establishment's way of differentiating Repubs from Dems, another phony meme designed to fool voters in thinking that they have a choice. Like so many other articles of the emperors wardrobe, we of the 99% are now seeing it for what it is.
Two things here that are advantage Gingrich. First, anything the left can bring up about him is already known, there will probably be few surprises. Second, the left watered down the impact of adultery during the Clinton administration, so there will probably be no traction there. jmc
Stop Willy....It was good enough for your boy Billy Clinton I read nothing from you but that his private life did not matter, but now that it someone you don't like you bring up morality, as if you or any other media type or plastic head knew what that was......You are a fraud willy nuggett- So by extension, Newt himself is a fraud for making our boy's private life an issue. Isn't that what we've been saying?
Republicans are scum. Gingrich is scum. Let's get rid of the scum. bushmciworlcomenron

We've seen it time and time again with politicians over the last 20+ years. Clinton was elected even though he had several sexual harassment cases looming during his time as Governor. It happens with both parties. While it is true that a person's sexual life may have no bearing on his or her ability to perform the job, Newt's case is a little different. It is the timing of his affairs and the way he divorced his wives: while they were sick and needed him most. That's distasteful. General Turgidson- Indeed. Compassion and support for the sick and vulnerable. Isn't that the true test of character and leadership, and the missing element in this debate? Newt broke that part of his vows, but it's the equivalent of our founding fathers pledging, in that pact we call the Constitution, a government that would provide for the security and general welfare of a nation. Let's not quibble over what that means but at least recognize it as a broken promise that needs to be redeemed.
Surprise! Republicans are human too! As the Good Books Says: There are none righteous, No Not One. For All have sinned and fall short of God's Glory. Republicans, hypocrites... you betcha! So is every living person, no one can live a holy life. Only Christ did, and the reason why he came was to free people from the judgement of sin. While Newt is no saint, at least he asked for forgiveness. The test comes from hense forth. As with all of us, we all make decisions everyday that will affect those around us. Did Newt learn his lesson? Time will tell. But one thing is for sure. The baggage that Newt Gingrich has is in no comparison to Obama's luggage of a dead ATF agent, and selling guns to drug cartels with his buddy Eric Holder. To this day they are both denying their involvement. The paper trail is there. So there's the difference friends. One who admits he has done wrong, and asks for forgiveness. Verses those who have done wrong, won't admit it, nor even give condolence to the families of those who lost their love one.
Callous, and shameful of a presidential administration of this greatest nation on God's green earth. FocusTruthFully- "Obama's luggage of a dead ATF agent" . . . . . You think that's bad, how about thousands of soldiers sent to die at the hands of a dictator, with inadequate armor, by weapons we once supplied? But it's good to see bleeding heart liberalism making a comeback.

I - a registered Democrat - agree with you but would point out that if the Conservatives in our midst are so uptight re those suspicious Muslims that they have to invent imagined instances of Sharia Law being applied in our courts can you imagine what they will do when asked to vote for - of all things - a Mormon?

Gingrich is indeed, probably the most moderate of the handful of carnival freaks the GOP has in the primary but he is also the slimiest and the most hypocritical of them all. The half normal candidates have been pushed aside in favor of what you see now dancing and barking for votes while they jump through a hoop of fire int he third ring of the primary circus. None of it is inspiring or fosters much hope the nation is going to right itself and proceed apace with an economic recovery. The GOP primary isn't going to leave independent voters much to consider in 2012. Most don't necessarily find the President the person they'd prefer to vote for but when compared to what else is out there he almost looks like the far lesser of a couple potential evils. Tkat
Err.....Bill Clinton...... STEPHEN1988- Clinton was the last good politician, because he was so adept at disguising Republican ideas and claiming them as his own. The last good president was Regan.

@montani semper liberi, I do not see where I said it was ok for a Republican. I just pointed out the hypocrisy of the left. Obamacare is one of the most liberal things I can think of. Its not designed to reform healthcare, its designed to give it away at the tax-payers expense. @MikeP, Clinton wasn't investigated for 8 years he was president for 8 years. Also, it wasn't just Republicans that were displeased with him and his antics. And yes Obama is the worst president in history. The only thing he managed to do right was kill bin Laden. Everything else has been a failure. Bush was really bad but Obama is worse. Maybe its just an indicator of our times. You have to go REALLY far back to find our last good president. psyrus

The Republican voters don't realize the high negatives and severe flaws of Gingrich. What makes it more rediculous is that if Gingrich has large numbers of Republican voters who won't vote for him, there is no way he could win a nation-wide election with Democrats and Independents included. While some are fooled by Gingrich's professor-type deliveries, his sometimes hell-bent, against the grain approach, insensitive oratory and conclusions along with his numerous lapses of character both personally and politically should have disqualified him long ago. Only against the likes of Bachman, Perry, Santorum and Cain, can Gingrich look the least bit qualified. It's the religious conservative bias against the Morman religion that keeps Romney from being the Republican nominee. Isn't it funny that the religious right can forgive Gingrich's numerous infidelities, etc. but can't forgive Romney for being a Mormon. How open-minded of them!?! RunningTheBases- Actually, RTB -- I think they do. You can't rely on polling data this far out. Notice that Ron Paul is suddenly surging in Iowa, and Mitt Romney is well ahead in New Hampshire. People are starting to talk about John Huntsmen(sp?) making a late charge. I think the last 6 months have served to do a couple of things: Expose Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry as Sarah Palin type candidates (popular to some, but not ready as a real candidate), confirm that Ron Paul does not translate to a national stage, that Newt Gingrich is really smart, and a good debater). Mitt Romney is still the most likely candidate, but it will be interesting to see if Huntsman makes a run, and whatever other twists and turns are left.

Someone else here said it right: Its not that he is a philanderer -- that is almost expected among politicians. Its that he ABANDONED his wife (family) for his mistress, more than once, and in one infamous attempt, tried to blame it on his patriotism. And, he panders to the family values coalition by holding himself up as one! The political maneuvering is simple -- portray a false image in order to curry votes. Hes trying to project an everyman image -- he's the furthest thing. Murrayman

Wow... Everyone is on a rant-fest, and no one seems to be looking very hard at the truth. So... Newt IS concerning for most Republicans, given what his record is, and what his personal issues are. I don't see him coming out as the Republican nominee. What is real however, is that you have a real chance as republicans to have the House, Senate, Presidency, and Supreme Court starting in 2013. None of the liberal ranters here seem to want to face that fact. IggleFan68
OF course Just Honest is endemic of the right wing know nothing, blowhard, weak minded who thinks that the current administration caused the Great Recession, and put into place policies that have 'ruined' this country. It of course points to the fact that the weak minded can be almost hypnotized by the highly suggestible act of --- repeating something enough times to make it true! Do you realize when given the chance to finger the culprits of the financial crisis Rush Limbaugh names three people: Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd! Of course Just Honest we will hold firm while you explain how Obama's policies have ruined this country. We'll wait. Murrayman

I get lots of spam e-mails, but none have ever been from Ashley Madison...I wonder how you got an e-mail from them? m13sully
Murrayman -- you aren't being honest with yourself. If the economic issues continue to be the same/worsen, it will be a very close race for Obama, making the assumption that the GOP doesn't nominate a buffoon. It IS difficult to unseat a sitting president, regardless of how unpopular (see George W. Bush 2004), UNLESS the economy stinks. And it stinks right now (see Carter, Bush 1). There is a real opportunity for the GOP to own all levels of Federal Government in 2013. IggleFan68
IF68 I don't doubt the notion that if "things stay the same" then it weakens Obama's chances, even considering this horribly weak Republican field. My insinuation is that it has to a large degree, in the aggregate, been made to look worse than it is, mainly by the right, even to the extent that the talking heads have embraced an Alex Jones like decree: that disaster is right around the corner, here it comes, its almost here, the coming hyperinflation, dollar destruction -- its almost here. Meanwhile, in realityville, quite a few indicators paint an entirely different picture. People on the right don't care about truth in perspective, they have issue with the POTUS for more pathological reasons, and they want him ruined. Oh and I would postulate than the House is, yes, deliberately trying to make 'things worse' in order to then blame the Executive branch, and make it more difficult for the POTUS to get re-elected. Think about that for a minute. Is that a bit savage? Murrayman- On the post below this you are claiming that 1 in 2 are near poverty, now you are claiming that Republicans are making the economy look worse than it is?
You are a shamless, pathetic slug. Yes, its an ad hominem, but check the thread below to see Murray talk out of both sides of his mouth. RG
MM -- I'd agree with some of your points. The House is taking advantage of a weak President -- that's clear. Economically, companies are still making $$$, and the stock market is around 12,000, which is a 50% rise from where it was in 2008. Unemployment is still way too high, and it's for 2 reasons, IMO: #1 -- companies are refusing to hire until the uncertainty in the market is lessened. The marketplace does not know what is going to go on with this "raise taxes on the rich" and how the Healthcare bill is going to shake out, and until both of those issues are resolved, they just aren't going to hire. #2 -- Outsourcing, US skills, education. The US is not providing a competitive advantage through it's employees anymore -- other countries are doing that. The last part about the economy is the housing market, which STILL HAS NOT RECOVERED, and looking at the latest news, I think it's going to go back down AGAIN. It will be game over for Obama if we have another housing related crash that puts the economy into another credit related tailspin. IggleFan68
As an independant there is no way I would ever vote for Newt as president and I think that takes in 90% of us independants. neddyflanders

"My insinuation is that it has to a large degree, in the aggregate, been made to look worse than it is, mainly by the right"
My goodness, by a lot of measures, its worse than when Bush was in office, which is exactly what Obama ran on. After years of hearing you clowns blame Bush for all the awfulness, you now have the audacity to claim that its not that bad? RG
I can't believe he is being praised for doing something he should have been doing all along. Being faithful to his wife... SHARONANDTONE
thats nice. We look for liars and praise immoral acts in our leaders is why this country is in the toilet. tulipwalk
The cynicism and mirth of RG knows no bounds. The impetus for the crisis, and obvious recession, was put into place mainly by private actors more during the Bush administration than during the Obama. No one is suggesting things aren't that bad -- what is the truth, of coure, is that they are not nearly as bad as the Republicans need them to be (case in point: the coming hyperinflation!). Of course if one looks at a chart of job growth during the past two terms it shows the story: not good, not nearly as bad as the right needs it, and certainly favoring the current admin. Of course RG the masters degreed baboon shill can't understand the point -- after all he (along with his shameless confidant hacks at Heritage) need it a certain way, far from reality. But please, by all measures of economic indicators: pick a few, lets examine the record. Sean Hannity: The OBAMA recession! The right insinuates the Great Recession was caused by Obama before he was the Democratic nominee. Murrayman- So even though you call it the Great Recession, the Republicans are exaggerating how bad it is? Even though Obama promised that the stimulus would keep UE under 7%, when it reached over 9%, its not that bad. Even though Obama is running historical deficits, the country had its credit rating downgraded, its not that bad.
Once again, all these indicators are worse than when Bush was in office. Yet, now its "not that bad"? Whose the shill again?
Also, I thought the impetus of the crisis was deregulation, mainly the repeal of Glass Steagall, which happened under Clinton's term. RG
Once again RG has no ability to grasp the argument. RG clearly you have a master's degree in policy - your insight is just staggering. AGain, just for the other readers you've already shown yourself tone deaf -- no one is suggesting that 'its not that bad'. Nope. Its that the right, to a an overwhelming degree, makes the situation look disastrous beyond measure, and finds ways to blame it entirely on the Executive branch. Of course RG uses the calendar to his party's advantage -- "Worse then when Bush was in office" -- Oh how convenient that the Great Recession started toward the end of Bush's second term. We can blame Obama! Of course you thought the impetus was deregulation -- shows how incompetent the matter is for you and how easily you're convinced by your overlords. Murrayman- No, the left thinks it was deregulation. Its the constant meme. The "free market" failed because Bush deregulated it.
You're the one who clearly claimed that its not as bad as the right makes it out to be. Of course, you didn't cite any evidence of the right's claims, so we're left to assume that the right must be saying its pretty bad. RG
Again, no one is suggesting this 'isn't that bad', but it gives you a measure of the absurdity of the 'its all Obama's fault' when relating to the current situation: http://reflectionsofarationalrepublican.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/liberal-total-private-jobs-worldview-july-data.jpg Murrayman
Its amusing watching the right wing folks defend Newt, as they did Cain, Perry, and Bachmann. And even with Mr. Excess Baggage himself, they still dont know the pending outcome. Oh, the insanity! Speedqueen Mistress
Big difference between Newt and Bill was that Bill wasn't making excuses like "I did it for my country" and Bill wasn't criticizing others for infidelity.
Btw - why does Sarah89 always laugh at her own posts? wokmaster
"Its that the right, to a an overwhelming degree, makes the situation look disastrous beyond measure"
Explain how they are "making" the situation look worse? Are they manipulating UE or GDP data? Are they exaggerating the record deficits? Or are they using mind control to convince the people?
Is OWS "making" things look worse than they are, or does your logic not apply to them because you share their goals? RG
Ok, it's real simple. Republicans who have affairs are hypocrites, because they pander to "values" voters, while having no values of their own. A Democrat doing the same thing isn't a hypocrite, because they aren't pretending to occupy that moral high ground. Both are scum for cheating, but it only affects the politics if they make "values" part of their platform. Pelti

Oh of course, of course Just Honest, yes, all of those scenarios are nonsense, mainly, including the persistent, unbelievable myth that businesses are overwhelmingly concerned about health care policy costs when it comes to pursuing opportunities and expanding (hiring). What came first? You know what I'm referring to which one was passed first? Of course the good hacks at Heritage, Reidl in particular, have you convinced it wouldn't work anyway because, hey, every dollar you borrow is one dollar less in the market! JH you talk talking points from your masters, then lamely repeat them. Murrayman
What a wonderful president GWB was. He kept us safe after 9-11. He brought the nation together and encouraged us all. We can still remember the entire Congress standing t o g e t h e r in unity.
But not so with our present occupant in the Oval Office. We have had attacks on our own soil. Obama has been the most divisive president in history. The country is t i r e d of his long speeches that don't say anything, his rants, and put downs of the ordinary taxpaying working man and endless regulations on small business.
Obama will lose hands down unless the left cheats (ie. registering the dead), lies (ie. registering illegals), high-jacks (ie. tamper with the voting machines), and intimates (ie. black panthers) the voters into election fraud.
Anybody. BUT Obama is the word-up!
O M G! O b a m a M u s t G o ! FocusTruthFully- I'm glad you bring that up. The most unforgivable of W's mistakes - squandering the unity of the country and the goodwill of the world to take us into war with Iraq. Pull out all the special forces in Afghanistan and give bin Laden another 9 years on the lamb. Put both wars on the national credit card. Call Americans who disagreed with the war or the Patriot Act "weak on terror". Call nations who disagreed with us "Old Europe". Call in fake terror alerts when it suited the administration. Waterboard suspects and thumb your nose at the Geneva Convention. That is part of the mess that Obama inherited. Yeah, I really miss those days!
wokmaster - If you remember So-Dumb-And-Insane dictator who slaughtered his OWN people. According to first hand reports from CIA. Were the satellite pictures lying? Perhaps. But according to the reports which Bush activated on the attack on Iraq was made. Did he have WMD's I personally know of a Iraq chemical engineer who say they had them. Where did they go? There's miles of desert sand out there.
Waterboarding helped save this country from another attack. Personally I'd rather be waterboarding than be dead.
OMG! Obama Must Go! FocusTruthFully - All Rush speaking (blabbing) points. Your a good soldier.
teddybear415 - What are you smoking? Congress was united for about one second. W didn't keep us safe. Just ask the more than 4K soldiers who died and many more thousands that were wounded. For what? Fabricating a war on terror focusing on a nation that had nothing to do w/ 9/11. W was extremely divisive--make the poor poorer and the wealthy wealthier. W's Justice Department was quite corrupt and incompetent as well. Not only all of this, but W must rank as one of the dumbest presidents in history. After all, he wrote his memoirs in crayon. brio
- It was the divisiveness of the democrat congress in the second half of Prez. Bush that caused all those lives. They wanted him to fail by never declaring war in the first place. Look at WW1 and WW2 they were both over in a matter of a 2 to 3 years over a much larger territory with a complete victory and a surrender of enemy forces.
Stupid is as stupid does... Bush tried, the democrat congress lied and killed thousands. FocusTruthFully - Dumbest post of the day - and that's saying something with THIS thread and your previous post. I don't even know where to start...so let me ask you one question - do you think Rumsfeld and Bremmer did the right thing in dissolving the Iraqi army??
wokmaster - I still remember that clueless look GWB gave the nation after being told of the attack, while reading to 5 y/os. And remember, it was Obama who single handedlly took out bin laden and quadaffi.
teddybear415 - Yes, I remember it well... the look of shock. We ALL had when we first heard of the attacks on our own soil. Thanks to former president Clinton letting Osama Bin Laden go. We would have never lost all those lives here and overseas.
Remember the only difference between Obama and Osama is a little bs.
OMG! Obama Must Go! FocusTruthFully - Then again, immediately after losing all those lives here nobody - but NOBODY - was permitted to fly the unfriendly skies. No politicians, no celebrities, no healthcare providers - NOBODY. Except, that is, the entire family - immediate and extended - of Osama Bin Laden.
They, potential witnesses and definitely persons-of-interest, were escorted to the safety of their homeland, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This because they were all personal friends of the Bush family. - Ahh revisionist history, a Repug's best friend.
Clinton tried to take out bin Laden with cruise missles. He took heat from the GOP for going after al Qaeda because of the rabid right's obsession with Monica Lewinski("Wag The Dog"). Did you forget about that? Secondly, Bush was given a memo in August of '01 headlined "Bin Laden Determined To Attack Inside US". Get a clue before you post. wokmaster - barack is funny. He schedules prime time speeches that nobody listens to, because he is a long winded bore reading from a teleprompter.

Reason #1: Uncertain economic outlook
Reason #3: Rising healthcare costs (HTML deleted) IggleFan68
MM -- care to comment on how Obama is expanding the use of Gitmo to include... wait for it.... AMERICANS!!! http://www.infowars.com/indefinite-detention-bill-heads-to-obamas-desk/ IggleFan68
marital fidelity isn't the problem. hypocrisy is Ryan
IF68 -- you think we're stupid. That's it. Let me ask you this simple question. Do you think rising healthcare costs has historically ranked, long before Obamacare? (I know the answer to this). As soon as you post an infowars link, you've lost credibility. Murrayman
Comment removed.
MM -- I don't think liberals are stupid, unlike the liberals here who comment on how idiotic conservatives are all the time. I think they are horribly misinformed and draw awful conclusions. The point about Healthcare is that Obama passed a law that was supposed to make it better, yet it still hasn't (and parts will likely be found unconstitutional). I don't go to infowars regularly - that story was linked from Drudge, and is A REAL STORY. Your PRESIDENT is about to sign into law a bill that will allow the government to involuntarily detain AMERICANS INDEFINITELY at Gitmo. Woulda thought you and other libs would be upset about that. It certainly troubles ME! Does this link make it better??? http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/dec/15/americans-face-guantanamo-detention-obama IggleFan68
After two marriages, Newt has found another and a true wife (his third, then) and religion - he has become a Catholic. He stated that he has repented. God has found him or he has found god. Apparently his love of Christ was dominant in his search for a true religion to be part of his life because as his second wife was dying of cancer, he was dating his third very rich wife, converted to Catholicism and married her. So, everyone makes mistakes. And, as we all know Catholics are the largest voting block in America, and he will be a shoo-in for president. Mitt only has one wife. Undoubtedly he could have had more, that's Mormonism for you. However, I remember that Obama has his Irish relatives who absolutely were so proud of him when he did vist. And, as we all know some of the Irish have relatives in America who might, just might vote for Obama. Of course, he has only been married once - but what do people expect - people to be single like priests and nuns. Bob Washick- Cicero, you're right. It is a minority, or in other terms the narrow gate; Few enter it, by choice. Gingrich on the ticket ensures a Democratic win. Volume does not make an opinion or idea correct, it's just loud. ptahan
Give credit where credit is due. Gingrich is a great adulterer, and good for NOTHING else. Do we really want the country run by a guy named Newt? for that matter Mitt? What the F*** is wrong with Republicans? Did they reach the end of the gene pool? bad joe s
Oh is this not cute. Every Dem perp like Edwards, Clinton ,the Kennedy clan, Dodd, Frank can have so many perversities that the voters just love and forgive. But, Newt, oh no ,he is a conserv Pub. Must hang him though he has repented to his God. BTW, I never remember Dem perverts ever repenting. They cry a bit and then go on not having to resign. I am still going to vote for Newt because he has real solutions for the problems that Obama has made worse in triplicate. Koons
Gingrich was very bipartisan in that he had his affairs with women. Lately most of the true conservatives seem to carry on with men. kenholt
