This piece filmed by the BBC investigative program Newsnight in D.C. last weekend really nails the connection between the Obama backlash, the rise of Beck and issues like immigration and Islamophobia...some of the things we've been talking about here.
Note to immediate family members and two or three other diehards -- you may catch a familiar face at roughly the 1 and 10 minutes marks and the very end.
Between now and Monday night (when I'm working) I hope to play close attention to the Phillies and take a minor break here from politics. You should do the same. Have a great Labor Day.
Speaking of Islamophobia, the head of the ADL has some choice words for the leaders in outrage about the community center that would replace the Ground Zero Burlington Coat Factory next to the Puxxycat Gentleman's Club. --snip-- [Wilders] is a bigot, he’s an anti-Muslim bigot, and one of the demonstrations being called for is being headed by someone who has an anti-Muslim agenda, often under the guise of fighting ‘radical Islam.’ The group vilifies Islamic faith and is engaged in [claiming] there’s a conspiracy to destroy American values, which is nonsense. The organizer [sloboat's crush Pam Geller) in fact has stated that part of her agenda is to help garner support for Wilders, who is a bigot, who has a long record of anti-Muslim bigotry. --snip-- Talking point sleuth- Will, buy a shirt that fits. Who lays out your clothes in the morning. You looked like you just stopped by the Salvation Army. LOL.
- Yawn, Over 12 minutes of wasted time. Typical BBC hit piece casting the Tea Party as racists. Selective editing and a leftist slant. But to be expected from state controlled BBC. And of course Bunch just happened to be in the area for the interview. And more of this to come. Lame.
Comment removed.- Meanwhile, Rauf has some questions to answer about the fradulant claim of tax exempt status. http://liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/09/01/new-questions-for-imam-rauf/ Of course the lefties will yell Faux News, but apparently a little basic investigative journalism reveals basic fraud.
Meanwhile, St Nicholas has the funding lined up to rebuild on their previous spot. Yet the city won't cut a deal with them. Shockingly, liberals are silent on this. Greek Orthodox apparently isn't on the cool diversity list. http://www.newsweek.com/2010/09/02/the-other-religion-at-ground-zero.html RG- To parapharse Will- the tea party people are using emotion over reason. WOW! That is exactly what the lefties do every day. Will and the BBC propagandist just kept playing the race card. No acknowledgement that the primary teaparty tenent is SPENDING. Are there a few racists mixed in? More than likely. Were there racists at Sharptons party. Sure. However for Sharpton and his ilk, it is always about race. That is how he makes his living-a race hustler. BTW, is all of this bashing of Beck helping you sell your book? That is what this is all about-your wallet. Makes you no better than what you accuse Beck of. And one more thing, you sounded really befuddled on Denis Praeger yesterday. Good thing he is a gentleman. He made you look silly and unprepared. georgel

Comment removed.- "And one more thing, you sounded really befuddled on Denis Praeger yesterday. Good thing he is a gentleman. He made you look silly and unprepared." Because Bunch is only comfortable taking HUGE softballs from the likes of BBC in canned interviews.
==]] there are places for people like you [[== This from the poster who excerpts people who suggest talking to Martians to make important policy decisions. Talking point sleuth- You know Will, since you've become such a media trollop lately, why don't you do a little diddly on your Praeger interview and put up audio of the encounter? And all your fans can hear you debate the issues.
- Sorry, add MSNBC to Bunch's softball outlets, much like Mikey Smerconifool.
the bbc has the balls our media does not to call these people out for what they are. Tea party people are just no a fun group of folks. what a miserable unhappy angry lot. maybe one day they will understand how good they have it and the world did not come to an end just cause a half white half black guy is president. the racism isn't necessarily against obama, but the idea that some of their tax dollars might be going to provide housing, medical care, or food for non-whites. notch44
