...in the number of people behind bars. Arlen Specter hasn't been particularly good about keeping his word these days, but I hope he follow through on his plan to work with (now fellow) Democrat Jim Webb on real prison and justice reform in this country.

ET the govt will determine if you should have kids, with empathy they will kill off those not desirable. They will be judge for future work based on ranking of parents in the polictical system, intelligence and strength. There will be no need for prisons as all will live in groups of likeness (profession, grade, etc). Accountablity is not an American theme anymore.— Fisher

Please remember this blog post the next time someone with a violent criminal history has been paroled and kills another police officer or other innocent victim. Seriously this doesnt exactly paint the correct picture does it ? . China for a start executes practically every criminal convicted of anything more serious than petty theft , and Britain pretty much jails nobody for anything less serious than rape . Also a life sentence in Britain is only 21 years and then if you behave in jail your out in 7 . Keep locking the trash up , keep throwing away the key , and if need be build more prisons or better yet more execution blocks and use them .— PAEnglish- maybe we should take a new look at why people fall into crime. Maybe we should consider the fact that many of these individuals can't hold a job since they are products of the failed inner city schools run by the unions? Maybe we should consider the fact that liberal policies have destroyed the urban family structure so there is no father to grab them by the scruff of the neck and kick their butts when they first started fighting and stealing petty things. Maybe we should consider how high taxes have destroyed many small businesses who create 95% of all new jobs and entry level jobs.
