UPDATED: Adding insults to injury

Montreal sportswriter gets car with Quebec plates trashed at the Wachovia Center, writes about it...and then gets a verbal mugging from Philly.com readers.

Too bad you can't tase newspaper commenters (just kidding...maybe).

UPDATE: Because of a technical issue that I wouldn't dare bore you with but that I couldn't really resolve at midnight with no one else who actually knows computers around, I took this post down for a while. I apologize because it's not my normal practice to do that.

Meanwhile, I guess I must be insane because I'm the only guy in Philadelphia who actually thinks its tacky to now attack this guy, whose car was trashed and had to waste three hours at a police station getting temporary plates. I've been pretty vocal in defending the silent majority of Philadelphia sports fans are passionate folks who know the game and boo and cheer at the right times and also happen to be good people, represented by the foul-ball-throwing-kid-hugging dad. That's the place where you want to be, not on the side of the  goons who trash a guy's car just because he has Quebec license plates. They are scum.
