UPDATED: A uniquely American tragedy

It's hard to imagine a tragedy with more echoes of America's recent, violent past. A deranged man takes a plane and crashes it into an office building, just like 9/11 -- a building that houses federal agencies, just like in the Oklahoma City bombing. And that's not all: The plane crashed in Austin, site of the infamous 1966 tower incident.

The news is just breaking about this one -- let's pray that no one besides the pilot was injured.

UPDATE: Twitter, ahead of the mainstream media as usual, has apparently found the pilot's anti-government rant/suicide note on his Web site. It's here. Also, removed reference to Waco as newer reports suggest the plane took off from Georgetown, TX.
