Sept. 7 will be a day that will live in infamy for the St. Louis Rams, Cole Hamels, and liberals, for a lot of reasons, some of which I'll enumerate tomorrow. But here's one for everyone to get all excited or whatever about:

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.

That experiment appears to be over.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

To quote the late great Jack Buck, "Go crazy folks, go crazy!"

I notice how not a single one of you right wingers responded to my question of since Obama sat down with Bill-o, don't you think McInsane should sit down with Olbermann? This is what you guys always do, ignore what you can't refute.

"Radio shows with hosts are not news shows ...."---}}} Really? Does O'Reily say his show isn't news? Hannity? They are highly partisan, and they are, by definition, mainstream, and they present themselves as news. Are you saying that Hannity et. al. are liars? "EVERYONE else in the electronic MSM is LIBERAL to the core....."---}}} Once again, let's see that they have a liberal slant because the majority of reporters are liberal. (Forgetting that the personal ideology of reporters is balanced out by the corporate interests of their employers), even if "left wing MSM media reporters' bias is reflected in broadcasts, there's no doubt that they aren't nearly as blatantly partisan as the vast amount of right wing MSM media outlets that are unabashedly partisan. Why do you keep ducking so much? Still trying to prove that you shouldn't have been picked last for your middle school intramural dodge ball games?

"Even if they were, ..."---}}} Lol! Right, like Fox's "news" coverage isn't obviously slanted to the right. See, it's this kind of statement, on which your vast left-wing media conspiracy theories are based, which makes your argument ridiculous.

"You might wana wait for the post convention state by state polling. Prepare yourself. It won't be pretty for the messiah. :)" A 5-7 percent popular victory by either side will translate to an electoral landslide. It's fun to watch the left wingers comforted by ignorance and outdated polling data, however.

Remember that book "Where's Waldo?", well Where's Sarah? I'm still waiting for her to clarify her tax and spend policies, as well as her love of earmarks. I thought she was an agent for "change?" Well, Dick Cheney likes her so you know we're in great hands. ;)

Amazing that the liberals can only point to Fox News as conservative. Even if they were, they would be the ONLY ones. Radio shows with hosts are not news shows and the callers determine the subject matter. EVERYONE else in the electronic MSM is LIBERAL to the core.

Xi Jah. I need to understand that difference? How do Hannity, O'Reilly present themselves? As hard news. It seems that it is you who needs to understand better what distinctions are and aren't valid.

TPS..you need to understand the difference between News....Hume and Gregory...and entertainment...Olbermann, Matthews, O Reilley and Limbaugh....MSNBC/NBC blurred the lines when it had Mitchell, and Brokaw and Gregory appearing with Matthews and Olbermann.

The real story here is that the Mainstream but left leaning NBC Analysts...like Gregory and Andrea Mitchell and Brokaw....knew Olbermann and Matthews were damaging their credibility and, as I said before, hurting the NBC brand.

Seriously, Xi Jah, do you think that Fox presents both sides on issues nearly to the extent of other mainstream TV networks? And is there anything on other networks that balances out Hannity, O'Reily, etc.? Not to mention that clearly, there's nothing in other mainstream outlets that balances out mainstream talk radio like Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reily, etc, etc. What point do you need to concede? Looking at mainstream press as a whole, their is clearly more highly partisan media on the right than on the left. The only way you can support your vast left wing media conspiracy theories is by separating the highly partisan media on the right from "mainstream," which you do even as you tell us how popular it is. A contradiction in terms.

Britt and Juan and Maura all drink the same Kook Aid. Olbermann and the Scar have different points of view. Until Fox actually becomes truly "Fair and Balanced", I don't think any kind of the comparison you are feebly attempting to make is valid.

"Youre entitled to your political hacks TPS...it's the masquerade of mainstream that's offensive...." Lol! As if right wing talk radio, Fox, etc., don't portray themselves as unbiased reporting. The fact of the matter is that Fox, right wing talk radio, etc., are all "mainstream" press. I love it how you lackeys are always posting about how high ratings of Fox and right wing talk radio are, and then are always claiming that they aren't "mainstream." What's the definition of mainstream, Xi Jah? Lol! Not to mention, the fact remains that at least NBC, ABC, CBS, etc., do present both sides on issues. If there is a bias that comes through, it is very small in comparison to the enormous bias from O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc. I know that actual analysis has nothing to do with Republican lackeys' constant whining about how unfair the world is to them (even as they tell others to be tough and handle adversity that comes their way), but at least they could try to use some kind of analysis to back up their shrill whining.

Lol! It really is interesting to observe which kinds of animals hunt in packs: hyenas, coyotes, Republican lackeys. Rabidly partisan right wing talk radio dominates the political radio dial. Rabidly partisan Fox is a major player on the TV dial. MSNBC fires their political hack, and the Lackeys shriek like a pack of hyenas and move in en masse to happily suck down the strewn flesh scraps before they resume their constant whining about "unfair" media coverage.

Anyone who is silly enough to think that the lagging state polls won't eventually catch up to the national picture is just, well, silly. Maybe you can swing by a bookstore and find a copy of "Math for DUmmies" on the discount table. It should be right next to the place they are reserving for bunch's latest drivel.

Liberals like Will The Shill know that their ideas and policies are repugnant to most Americans -- unless you are a loser (you want government to take care of you) or ultra-rich (you think everyone else is a loser and they want government to take care of them). That's why they feel the need to stack the deck in all forms of news media. They can't compete on a level playing field. When can we expect the Inquirer and Daily News to endorse the 0bamassiah? Should be any day now.

Why is Sarah Palin running from her record? Could it be that she increased both taxes AND government spending. When you add in her "do as I say, not as I do" ethics, you know why Daddy McShame has her locked up in a closet. Palin is a real maverick alright, the GOP doesn't even trust her to speak!

It's not like David Gregory isn't left of center also, it's just that Olbermann is so hateful and contemptuous of the right that many people can't stomach watching him, so MSNBC loses viewers. Clearly Olbermann has no business posing as a "moderator"- there is nothing moderate about him and he clearly has no interest in keeping a panel of different people in checks/balances. This is a good day for civil discourse.

How about brave little sugar cookie Obama stop insisting that there be no questions about Rezko or Ayers before he does an interview. Too bad Bill O'Reilly caved in to these demands. The "one" who would meet any dictator- let him go on Sean Hannity for an hour and then we'll see what backbone or lack-there-of he has. Obama is the one who has SKATED around talking about his past associates. Hey Will, that Keith makes you look open minded.

I'd like to see Sarah Palin on a show with Bill Maher. Or interviewed by John Stuart. She's nothing but "Bush with lipstick." If she somehow beguiles enough dumb Americans to propel McCain into the Presidency, too bad for everybody! But it really is a shame that there MAY be enough stupid, soulless Americans who actually think she's cool. Yikes! Alas!

Gee, I guess before Obama concedes the race, maybe he should look at the Electoral map. Websites like fivethirtyeight.com, who simply collect all polling information done throughout the country, show Obama at @300. Even Karl Rove's electoral map clearly shows Obama up.

"(McCain's convention bounce is pretty serious. Pair that with Palin's upcoming interview with Charlie Gibson and I am not sure the left and Obama have much left in the tank...:)...)" The reality of the Messiah campaign is that it has been running on fumes for months now. He barely made it across the finish line against Hillary; she was smoking him in primaries all the way to the end. The longer an empty suit like him is out there, the more likely he'll be exposed. And now he has been, finally, by the nice lady from Alaska.

Chuck Todd and David Gregory are very good journalists. It is sad when good journalistic brands like NBC and The Atlantic are tarred by high profile buffoons. I don't like feeling that, as a conservative, I am only welcomed on one cable channel. Here's hoping MSNBC becomes an inviting place for people of all political affiliations. Kind of reminds me of Rathergate in 2004. Biased reporting so God-awful, the head honchos felt compelled to do something. I'm going to miss Matthews' spittle flecked rants. BTW - he said that balloon drop on Andrea Mitchell at the RNC was done on purpose. What a complete loon.///

The crackpot left wing blogosphere is in full meltdown tonight. Left wingers in their basements are frantically calling up the stairs to their mothers asking if they can make a long distance call to NYC to curse out a switchboard operator at NBC over Herr Olbermann's demotion. Combine this with the latest devestating poll results and a full scale suicide alert has been issued. In other words, the normal America is just fine tonight.
