Sept. 7 will be a day that will live in infamy for the St. Louis Rams, Cole Hamels, and liberals, for a lot of reasons, some of which I'll enumerate tomorrow. But here's one for everyone to get all excited or whatever about:

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.

That experiment appears to be over.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

To quote the late great Jack Buck, "Go crazy folks, go crazy!"

Latest Gallup has McCain up by TEN. When it rains, it pours Willie.

If this is how the Times, of all papers, reported it, MSNBC must be significantly left of Karl Marx.

Kind of reminds me of Rathergate in 2004. Biased reporting so God-awful, the head honchos felt compelled to do something. I'm going to miss Matthews' spittle flecked rants. BTW - he said that balloon drop on Andrea Mitchell at the RNC was done on purpose. What a complete loon.///

Chuck Todd and David Gregory are very good journalists. It is sad when good journalistic brands like NBC and The Atlantic are tarred by high profile buffoons. I don't like feeling that, as a conservative, I am only welcomed on one cable channel. Here's hoping MSNBC becomes an inviting place for people of all political affiliations. (McCain's convention bounce is pretty serious. Pair that with Palin's upcoming interview with Charlie Gibson and I am not sure the left and Obama have much left in the tank...:)...)

Gee, I guess before Obama concedes the race, maybe he should look at the Electoral map. Websites like fivethirtyeight.com, who simply collect all polling information done throughout the country, show Obama at @300. Even Karl Rove's electoral map clearly shows Obama up.

I'd like to see Sarah Palin on a show with Bill Maher. Or interviewed by John Stuart. She's nothing but "Bush with lipstick." If she somehow beguiles enough dumb Americans to propel McCain into the Presidency, too bad for everybody! But it really is a shame that there MAY be enough stupid, soulless Americans who actually think she's cool. Yikes! Alas!

"There were more murders in Chicago this summer than deaths of US servicement in Iraq." . . . . . . . . Steakwith, with the crime rate in Alaska soaring under Palin's administration, should Palin go back to community organizing too?

"I don't like feeling that, as a conservative, I am only welcomed on one cable channel." . . . . . Bon, intelligent conservatives certainly deserve better than FoxNews, that's for sure.
