HONOLULU (AP) - A Honolulu television station is reporting that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been taken to a hospital with chest pains.

As noted here before, there's actually an issue that the Left and the Right in this country agree on, which is dislike of the way that the government bailed out Wall Street at the expense of Main Street. Obviously, there's some differences -- the Left directs its anger more at fat-cat CEOs while right-wing rage, as always, flows toward the government -- but the bottom line is that no one is happy with the big bonuses or the big paydays that big bankers continue to dole out to one another -- with our tax dollars.

The thing is, unlike most issues in the public arena, there's something you can do about this one. If you don't like the way that a bank like Citibank is behaving, you can always take your money out of there. Now here's the award-winning filmmaker Eugene Jarecki (yet another liberal from the Hackley School -- hooray!) to tell us how. And it's entertaining! Especially if you like "It's a Wonderful Life."

That didn't take long:

Remarkable story out today from that left-wing rag The Politico* about the similarities between the ways that President Obama and President Bush responded to very similar failed airplane attacks, and the strikingly different ways that the two commanders-in-chief were treated by your "liberal" American media. This passage boggles the mind on light of what we see today:

An Agence France Presse story was one of the few to call attention to the silence from Bush and other top officials.

Yemen is the new Albania:

How many presidents in a row will do Osama bin Laden's bidding? First we had George W. Bush, who pulled U.S. troops out of Saudi Arabia -- bin Laden's leading agenda item at that time -- in response to the 9/11 attacks, the first of a string of dumb decisions that encouraged rather than tamped down Islamic extremism. Now is President Obama's walking into a trap in Yemen? Steve Clemons explains:

National security officials in the administration need to go back and read Peter Bergen's Holy War, Inc.: Inside the Secret World of Osama bin Laden in which he recounts many aspects of bin Laden's plan from the Islamic extremist uber-guru's own words - which was to draw the US deeply into the Middle East, and by its presence -- destabilize the governments in the region.

There's no doubt that there's entertainment value in a Sarah Palin speech but $349? C'mon, Bruce was only $98 and he played for 3 hours! For that kind of money, she needs to enter the arena shooting some wolves from a helicopter. Seriously, the willingness of Tea Party "leaders" to fleece their followers is possibly surpassed only by televangelists, who are probably the same people anyway.

Now that they've been recognized for excellence, do you think they'll do something about those loud and unstoppable video commercials? I know I should be grateful because they pay a tiny portion of my salary and all, but....jeez Louise!
