2009 Obama: "Can't we all just get along." 2013 Obama: "In your face, right-wing nut jobs!"
Tomorrow's news today:
The skies were greyer this time around, and so were the hairs on President Obama's head. And when the nation's 44th chief executive took the ceremonial oath of office for his second term Monday, gone for good was the 2009 version of hope wrapped inside a vague promise of "an end to the petty grievances and false promises" of U.S. politics.
This year's model came with an exciting new feature: A wider field of vision.
In a concise inaugural address that was arguably the best speech of his presidency, Obama offered a shockingly bold, full-throated liberal blueprint for tackling climate change, expanding gay rights and voting rights, reforming immigration and preserving Social Security. In doing so, he aggressively challenged the tea party philosophy, insisting that government programs "do not make us a nation of takers."
Here's what Michelle Obama would think of my story.

- atkins could have been found, along with the Professor1982, on the comments sections, before they were removed, of the news articles detailing the horror of the murdered pediatrician whose body was found burned. Prof1982 stated that fires should be banned, and atkins' comments were in reaction to the expected outrage other commenters had for Prof1982. Atkins was saying that only Democrats can politicize a tragedy. True Conservatives in their finest hours.— Murrayman

Those tactics were bullying, hateful and divisive. It appears that he is more committed now to the bullying & in-your-face tactics than before. This type of tactic does NOT help our nation unite. This type of rhetoric from the leader of the free world is explosive and hate-filled & very UNdignified. It would be a great thing IF Obama did like Clinton and was forced to do & work uniting Congress to solve our nation's problems. Unfortunately Obama's view is to continue the hateful rhetoric that did NOT work the first time. History repeats itself when the ignorant know nothing of the past. Wake up lemmings. Why not focus on what the President has done? Brought us back from the Bush economic meltdown - the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. He has presided over the end of the war in Iraq, and is winding down the war in Afghanistan. He has lowered the deficit by 2.4 billion (so far). He made the call to eliminate America's greatest enemy. He has insured that regular citizens no longer have to pay the hospital bills of deadbeats. All of this with no help whatsoever from the GOP. Pretty impressive.
If you're unhappy with the deficit, and unemployment numbers then call your GOP Representative and tell them to get off their a** and do something. Don't sit around whining because you lost the election.— wokmaster - "Felgercarb" ! — oldsog67

- I'm a devout moderate, but it's a sad fact that the GOP is a ship without a captain - or too many captains, one of the two. I voted for Obama out of lack of choice, but I have high hopes for the politicization of the No Labels movement. Only true moderate conglomerate American politics has, and they can take a lot of credit for the No Budget, No Pay movement that's gathering steam. Mmmmm love that sweet smell of victory. Get ready, wingnuts, since your leadership cannot come up with reasonable alternatives other than obstruction, 2014 is going to be even that much sweeter. Honestly, ask yourselves, what did four years of obstructionism gain you? Four more years of Obama. So my thanks to our obstructionist friends for helping to re-electing President Obama. To the President's credit, he TRIED the "Can't we all just get along" approach and attempted civility. I'm hoping, again to his credit, he sticks with the "In you face,..." philosophy.
You can't reason with unreasonable people.
