UPDATE: It's true...Romney won.

Go crazy, folks. Go crazy.

Will Mitt Romney make it "zing" tonight. Or will he sing to President Obama -- how about Bob Seger's "Get Out of Denver" ("Because you look just like a Commie/And you might just be a member...")

Want to read some "zingers" even lamer than Romney's -- follow me on Twitter for some weak one-liners and shallow observations as the 2012 campaign joins the Mile High club at 9 p.m.. Or you can be anti-social...media and post your own reactions below.

What, you were expecting a "live blog"? Dude, that's so 2004.

Well said, TPS. I think you make an important point about the new material that show Mitt - once again - flip flopping. Political gold.

Obama looked tired and uncertain, disinterested, like he would much rather be spending his evening with his Hollywood pals. And then, there was a point in time, late in the debate, when Romney was lucidly explaining his disagreements with Obamacare, when the realization set in for Obama, and you could see a clear change in his face, the realization setting in that he had not only lost the debate, but he had just lost the election.

Obama is best when he is demagogiing the other guys record. It's easy to do when you have no record. Unfortunately it's not 2008 anymore it's 2012 and Obama has a record and he cannot run and hide from it. Romney should get a bounce from this. The polls were already tightening before this debate. Things should get interesting real soon. Watch the Obama/Daley/Chicago team go negative and start the slime machine.

It was right there for all to see last night that the Emperor has no clothes. Barry was completely lost without TOTUS. He was disinterested, listless and completely unprepared.

@wiseman - I agree that Obama looked unprepared last night. He let Romney get away with the following:

I will get rid of tax deductions but I don't know which ones.

I will get rid of Dodd Frank and replace it with something or other.

I will cut taxes and increase military spending, and also reduce the deficits, in some way or another that I can not explain.

I will cover all sick people with pre-existing conditions, and pay for it some way or other that I have not figured out; but it will not be with the mandate that I had to use in Mass to pay for it.

Mitt Romney promised to sit down on the first day with Democratic Congressional leaders and say, "I want you to work with me to repeal the Dodd-Frank regulations and ObamaCare that you all voted for and passed."

@wok- What specifics did Barry offer in 2008? He won based largely on flowery oratory, general platitudes and the specific fact that he wasn't George Bush.

Hope and Change isn't very specific is it?

I never believed in the "hope and change" mantra in the first place. Once again, wiseman, you avoid the point. This is what Clinton described as an "arithmetic problem".

@wok- what part of growing the economic pie don't you understand? So how does Barry's arithmetic only raising taxes on those over 250k work? Where are the questions there?

If I recall, repealing Bush tax cuts for all but the 'rich' will only bring in 80 billion over 10 years. In case you didn't notice, the annual deficit is 1 trillion dollars. Nothing but demogoguery from Barry.

America heard a completely different Romney last night. Isn't Mitt the one who still believes the supply-side idiocy that led this nation to near collapse? Isn't he still a believer in perfect markets? Doesn't he still believe that wages need to go lower, in order to be competitive with world markets and provide those obscene profit margins? Doesn't he still believe that gov't intervention in Wall Street, banking, or regulating business is harmful? That wasn't the Mitt Romney who debated last night. And that is why I believe Obama did a lousy job.

you do realize if obama gets more aggressive he becomes the angry black man that rush likes to talk about. i think obama did well. exposed mitt as a flip flop. last night's debate is a loss for mitt unless he overtakes obama in the polls. that is the prize.
