You can't blame Gov. Tom Corbett for this one. Nobody picks their son-in-law. In fact, if these allegations are true, I truly feel sorry for Corbett, because it will mean his son-in-law was a dirty and not particularly bright Philadelphia cop.

The headline refers to both Dan -- a talented and hard-working journalist who'll be sorely missed around these parts -- and some of the things in his farewell column, which are kind of disgusting. I'm predicting a precipitous drop in mentions of B-list porn stars under the incoming Eichel Administration.

On Jan. 21, Hadiya Pendleton performed at President Obama's inauguration. Yesterday, she was murdered. The weapon: A gun.

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old majorette who performed at some of President Barack Obama's recent inauguration festivities has been shot to death in Chicago.
