Free flowing forms of battling blues with accents of green, orange, and black run through the paintings of Linda Celestian. These images are reminiscent of thunderous skies and deep oceans.

“My work is influenced by the beauty and life force of natural elements. I am inspired by the dynamism of nature. Nature is alive and constantly changing, seamlessly moving from states of tranquility to overwhelming power,” Celestian says in her artist statement.

The influence of nature and fluid movement are apparent in the artists color choice and brush strokes. You can see Celestian’s paintings and sculptures at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts from March 8 until April 14, 2012
