Comedy for Weirdos, By Weirdos

Comedy Dreamz is one of the most unique comedy shows in the city. Get ready to shoot PBR through your nostrils.

To an unsuspecting customer, Comedy Dreamz is a hipster, freak show nightmare–sorry bros, this is just not the show for you. But, for those looking for colorful laughable commentary, look no further than this troop of whimsical weirdos. This March marks 3 years of the group's amusing take on comedy that has yet to loose its eclectic charm. Each performance has a different theme and new cast of characters, so veteran viewers never know what to expect. For the 3-year anniversary, they'll certainly have some tricks up their sleeves.

Colorful hosts, Andrew Jeffery Wright and Rose Luarado ignite laughs with their improvised banter and theatrical execution. The duo is best known for their work with Philadelphia gallery and studio, Space1026. Wright is a notable multi-media artist having done work for Plastic Little, Morningwood, Toymachine Skateboards and more. Luardo, the leading lady of the outrageous band Sweatheart, is a multi-versed actress and artist. When they come together, nothing is too shocking or taboo for their audience; digging deep into topics that will have you overcome with laughter or scratching your head. Sex, race, religion are all shamelessly tossed around, so it's best you leave grandma at home for this one.

Every single edition of Comedy Dreamz showcases an alternating line-up of witty stand-up comics from across the country, choreographed dance routines, goofy live performances, ironic short-films and a dance party to cap it off. This special 3-year anniversary edition will include talent Body Dreamz, Aaron Nevins, Ken BDC Jones,T.J. Hurly, J.P. Boudwin, Nick Lucas and video works by Power Violence and Jason Hsu. After you've gotten your fix of entertainment, stick around for the rambunctious dance party musically conducted by Emilio Airhorn.

If wisecracks about art school, toilet humor and Ryan Gosling make PBR shoot out of your nose, get yourself over to their anniversary show on Tuesday, March 19th at The Barbary. It's one of the most refreshingly funny events you'll see all year.
