R and R in LA
A short summer hiatus
R and R in LA
Dick Polman, Inquirer National Political Columnist
I have two choices on my ballot today:
1. Write something.
2. Enjoy my day off, here in Los Angeles.
I vote for #2. I doubt I'll have as much fun as the boys on Entourage, but as British bluesman John Mayall once sang about California, "so many good things around." Even with a $26-billion budget deficit. Back on the blog next week.

Days off? Your obvious liberal bent is proven by this article. Why not write about how people can't hang confederate flags anymore? No wonder this paper is going down! HandNik
Hilarious how conservatives say "the goverment's broke, we can't afford health reform" when it was the Bush administration, populated by nothing but conservatives, that, mainly with tax cuts and the war in Iraq, bankrupted the government. This is like a father saying to his daughter; "Sorry honey, I just can't afford to send you to college. Or to pay for that cancer treatment you need. Daddy blew all his money gambling." "But daddy, you're still going to casinos every weekend!" "That's a prior commitment that I cannot break." And hopefully the media will continue not covering it much. CutterMcCool

Cutter, keep your eye on the shiny object and repeat after me... the Bush debacle never happened, the Bush debacle never happened...ok you're getting sleepy PA_Dutch

In plain english, this is what cutter is saying: The Republicans ran the country into the ground at full throttle. Now, comprende'? Freerojo
It's amusing how someone can remark on Cutter being loony after Handnik's comment. This is what's wrong with politics today-repeat after me: we're not at an Eagles game. You don't have to instantly disagree with everything one has to say, hate them, and call them names. Agree or not with Cutter on healthcare, parts of his views are spot on. The republicans have not been fiscally conservative for a long time. Cutting taxes while not cutting spending is not conservative. It's idiotic. donde
I think "hows that hope & change working out" is just a new login for the Xi Jah/Comrade Xi/Jwad multiple personality disorder. Tony_From_PA

Bush was actually responsible for 5 trillion. 2 trillion is only the cost of the Iraq war Tony_From_PA

Girl Gone Wild Pelosi and Harry "I'm insane" Waxman are threatening the blue dogs with a floor vote on health car. Awesome. This is what happens when commie extremists run the democratic party. When Obama spoke about people being "stupidly" at is snooze conference the other night he should have been talking about Pelosi and Waxman. The cuckoos are running the democratic bus! CD75
