Tonight: Philly Loves J Dilla

Questlove, Rich Medina and Mike Nyce headline tonight's benefit for The Lupus Foundation in honor of late hip-hop legend, J Dilla.

If you're a fan of hip-hop, then you're familiar with music legend J Dilla. In 2006, at the age of 32, Dilla tragically passed due to complications with Lupus–a chronic inflammatory disease that attacks the entire body. Before his passing, Dilla widely contributed his talents to the craft he dearly loved and essentially set the bar for contemporary hip-hop. He influenced and worked with such artists as Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and many more.

In honor and celebration of the late music icon, Johnny Brenda's will be hosting a one night only tribute this very evening featuring Philadelphia's very own hip hop legends Questlove, Rich Medina and Mike Nyce. A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales will go to benefit The Lupus Foundation on behalf of J Dilla.
