Philly street artist designates ‘Selfie Zones’ in Philly for Tech Week

How many times have you found yourself gazing at the digitized reflection of your gorgeous face on a phone screen in the middle of a sidewalk? Or maybe caught others doing the same?

How many times have you found yourself gazing at the digitized reflection of your gorgeous face on a phone screen in the middle of a sidewalk? Or maybe caught others doing the same?

While modern culture both encourages and dampens this trend, there's no denying that we're obsessed with selfies. While the concept of taking a photo of yourself isn't new – in fact Philadelphia is home to the first 'selfie' – it's certainly become the norm.

Local street artist Kid Hazo, probably best known by now for his PAFA poop emoii prank, is at it again with his latest installation that encourages folks to snap a portrait in a designated "Selfie Zone" in honor of Philly Tech Week.

"I secretly installed 3 of these #SelfieZone signs in 3 different neighborhoods last night," Hazo writes on Instagram. "Follow the rules below and enter the raffle to win a prize at the end of the week."

And here are those rules:

Rules:

1) Find one of the three signs in Philly and....of course, take a selfie (or disguisey) with it!
2) Tag @phillytechweek AND @kidHazo on Instagram and/or Twitter (profiles must be public)
3) Use #PTW15xKidHazo to enter the raffle to win a signed copy of this piece!
