Bernie Rogers has stepped down as Archbishop Ryan's head basketball coach after 15 seasons to take the same position at Haverford School.

Rogers compiled a 212-161 record (.568 winning percentage) at Ryan. The Raiders went 10-13 overall and 4-9 in the Catholic League last season.

At Haverford School, Rogers replaces Henry Fairfax, who stepped down to concentrate on his duties as the school's admissions director.

Rogers played at Ryan (Class of 1992) and Ursinus.

Haverford School went 17-11 overall and 7-3 in the Inter-Ac League last season. The Fords are losing point guard Shawn Alston, a Temple recruit, and Derek Mountain to graduation.

Junior wing guard Lamar Stevens, who has scholarship offers from Villanova and other elite Division I programs, said he intends to transfer to Roman Catholic. Rising sophomore guard Cameron Rddish is also considering a switch in schools, to either Westtown or Friends' Central.
