2015 Preseason Southeastern Pa. Baseball Top 25

2015 SOUTHEASTERN PA PRESEASON BASEBALL TOP 25

With last year's record in parentheses.

1. Spring-Ford (20-8). A talent-filled lineup features outfielder-pitcher Cameron Simmons, infielders Connor Klemann and Ryan Markey, outfielder Zack Zoller, and pitchers Bret Clarke and Matt Yost.

2. Malvern Prep (27-9). The Friars' quest for the Inter-Ac League title is headed by outfielder-pitcher Chris Butera, first baseman-pitcher Tim Quinn, pitcher Brendan Inglis, infielder Mark Gentilotti, and catcher Clay Koniencki.

3. Neumann-Goretti (23-5). The Saints bring back ace southpaw Pat Doudican, outfielder Bay To, shortstop Justin Curtin, and catcher Tommy Nardini. Outfielder Matt McKeown is a transfer from Paul VI (N.J.).

4. Pennridge (13-7). Tom Nuneviller's experienced squad includes David Tatoian and Dan Long, infielders who also pitch, outfielder-pitcher Danny Shane, catcher-outfielder Joe Unangst, and pitcher Joe Molettiere.

5. Penn Charter (20-6). The Quakers, who tied Malvern for top Inter-Ac honors last season, are led by catcher Kenny Bergmann and first baseman Dillon Malandro. Mike Siani and Gabe Smith are outfielders who also pitch.

6. Holy Ghost Prep (17-4). Fifteen varsity players return, including three infielders who also pitch: Tim Brennan, Nolan Jones, and Nick Payesko. Also in the mix are infielder Ryan Malloy and outfielder-pitcher Luke Duris.

7. Archbishop Wood (17-6). The catalysts are catcher Nick Lafferty, outfielder-pitcher Joey Lancellotti, shortstop Tom Rosenbaum, third baseman Austin Hill, centerfielder Anthony Zupito, and pitcher Anthony Russo.

8. Penncrest (14-7). The drive for a Central League title is keyed by savvy hurlers Rob Brown, Matt Briner, and Tyler Kight. Also back are catcher Billy McCarthy, shortstop Nathan Sides, and outfielder Steve Moppert.

9. La Salle (21-6). New coach Kyle Werman is banking on solid play from centerfielder Jimmy Herron, catcher Jack Pogyor, third baseman-catcher Andrew Cossetti, and pitchers Jim Dougherty and Anthony Morabito.

10. Germantown Academy (12-11). The Patriots, guided by interim boss Joe O'Hara, are sparked by Wake Forest-bound handyman John Aiello, catcher Ryan Calhoun, and hurlers Emmett Harkins and Ryan Dewalt.
