Football: Vikings' Paul commits to Cavaliers

Northeast's Gladimir Paul, a rising senior defensive end and outside linebacker, committed Tuesday to play for Virginia.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder, who earned first-team all-Public League Class AAAA honors last season, also had scholarship offers from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Temple, among others.

According to Northeast coach Phil Gormley, Paul, who also sees time at tight end, recorded 20-plus tackles for loss last year.
