Football: Roman's Wiggins commits to Youngstown State

Roman Catholic senior offensive tackle Gavin Wiggins committed Sunday to play football at Youngstown State.

"Aside from Scott Paxon (Penn State, NFL), he's probably the best blocking lineman we've had at Roman," Cahillites coach Joe McCourt said. "He's the kind of guy who collapses the whole line in the run game."

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Wiggins, who also plays on the defensive line, has started since his sophomore year.

He also drew interest from Temple and Villanova.
