Basketball: Gilbert chooses George Mason

Constitution High's Ahmad Gilbert, a 6-foot-6 senior small forward, committed Friday to play basketball at George Mason.

Last season, while averaging 15.7 points per game and helping lead the Generals to a 28-5 record and the PIAA Class AA state tile, he earned Inquirer all-Southeastern Pennsylvania second-team honors

Gilbert became the Patriots' first commitment in the Class of 2015. He also had scholarship offers from Drexel, Hofstra, and Quinnipiac, among others.
