Football: Titans' Adams ticketed to Notre Dame

Central Bucks South's Josh Adams, a fleet-footed senior running back, committed Monday to play at Notre Dame. He was at the Irish Invasion camp on June 20.

"He visited Notre Dame with his parents, and he had a great feeling about it," C.B. South first-year coach Tom Hetrick said. "He liked the players, the coaches, the people on campus, and the people in the community."

After rushing for 2,085 yards and 28 touchdowns in 12 games as a sophomore, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Adams sat out the last four weeks of the 2013 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

"He got cleared about three or four weeks ago," Hetrick said. "He's able to go without any limitations."

Adams, also dangerous as a kick returner, chose Notre Dame over fellow finalists Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Stanford.

A three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, he also had scholarship offers from Boston College, Rutgers, and Temple.

Adams is the 15th overall player - and the first running back - in the Class of 2015 to orally commit to Notre Dame.
