Brown eyeing Wednesday return

Phillies all-star outfielder Domonic Brown, who has been on the seven-day concussion disabled list since July 25, says he hopes to return to the team on Wednesday after going on a two-game rehab stint Monday and Tuesday.

Brown said he will compete for Lakewood on Monday at Hagerstown and then play for Reading Tuesday in Harrisburg.

"I think I will be back here on Wednesday," Brown said referring to the Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park against the Chicago Cubs.

He says he has been symptom free for about a week.

Brown has been sidelined since slamming his head on the warning track dirt when he unsuccessfully dove for a fly ball in a 4-1 loss at St. Louis on July 23.
