Sources: Cuthbert to leave Pennridge for Emmaus

According to multiple sources, Randy Cuthbert has stepped down as head football coach at Pennridge to become the boss at District 11's Emmaus.

Cuthbert compiled a 55-43 record in eight seasons with the Rams. Last year's squad went 12-2, claimed the Suburban One League Continental Conference title, and advanced to the PIAA District 1 Class AAAA semifinals before losing to Spring-Ford.

Cuthbert, who starred at Central Bucks West and Duke, and Pennridge athletic director David Babb could not be reached for comment.

At Emmaus, Cuthbert replaces Joe Bottiglieri, who resigned last month after guiding the Green Hornets to a 70-51 record, including seven playoff appearances, over 11 seasons.

Bottiglieri returned to Lehigh University as an assistant coach.

Cuthbert also coached at C.B. West from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, the Bucks went 9-2 and captured the SOL's American Conference title.

After playing at Duke, Cuthbert spent time with the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers.
