In the third inning of Wednesday's game in Lakeland, Kevin Frandsen fell to the ground after a Justin Verlander fastball came in high and tight. It hit him in the hand.

Frandsen eventually got up and took first base, but he was replaced by Pete Orr at third base when the bottom half of the inning began.

But Frandsen doesn't believe he'll need an X-ray on his left wrist and didn't sound concerned about an hour later while chatting with the media outside he Phillies clubhouse.

"It's not like it's painful - just sore," Frandsen said.

Wait what.

"Sore is something you can deal with," Frandsen said. "It’s not going to limit you. Painful is debilitating."

Frandsen briefly rolled up the sleeve of his long-sleeve shirt to reveal the left wrist: he still had the imprint of the ball's stitches on the bruise.

He hasn't been told he needs an X-Ray, but he doesn't believe he needs one.

"With my eyes," Frandsen said when asked if he had an X-ray. "I have X-ray vision."
