Rosenberg scratched with triceps soreness

B.J. Rosenberg was supposed to pitch on Sunday. But he was scratched with triceps soreness.

Coming off the last two springs, when medical updates on Chase Utley and Ryan Howard, among others, were daily occurences, it's hard to believe we're three weeks into camp with almost nothing to report as far as injuries go.

Delmon Young hasn't played a game while recovering from ankle surgery, but there hasn't been anything new to say about him since camp began. He is going to get checked out by a physician in Los Angeles this week.

But there is now at least one other injury to keep tabs on, although it appears to be the most minor of ailments.

Reliever B.J. Rosenberg was scratched from Sunday's pitching schedule with soreness in his right triceps.

"It's OK, no big deal" Rosenberg said. "I'm throwing a bullpen today and I'll get back into a game in another couple of days."

The 27-year-old Rosenberg has pitched in two games this spring. His most recent came last Wednesday in Ft. Myers against Minnesota, when he allowed three runs on three hits and two walks in one inning.

In total, Rosenberg has allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits and three walks in three innings this spring. Rosenberg, one of the hardest throwers in camp, hasn't struck out a batter.

Rosenberg went 1-2 with a 6.12 ERA in 22 games with the Phils last season, striking out 24 and walking 14 in 25 innings.
