Thaddeus Young estimated to miss three weeks

A 76ers spokesman said that forward Thaddeus Young has a Grade One left hamstring strain and will likely be out approximately three weeks.

Young suffered the injury in Monday's 78-61 win over the visiting Orlando Magic. He is averaging 14.9 points and 7.4 rebounds.

"Pretty much when I first did it, it felt like a rubber band kind of like snapping a little bit and going back in place," Young said on Tuesday. "Like the doctor said, three weeks hopefully I will be back."

Young's teammates had a predictable reaction to the news.

"It's hard, he is the anchor on this team and we need him obviously," Sixers guard Nick Young said after today's practice. 'We have to go out and fight harder."
