Football: Cherry Hill East's Drob to West Chester

By Phil Anastasia

Cherry Hill East senior two-way lineman Tyler Drob has committed to attend West Chester (Pa.) State University on a football scholarship.

The 6-3, 280-pound Drob was a key to Cherry Hill East's powerful ground game. He is expected to play offensive line for West Chester, an NCAA Division II program.

Drob's blocking helped Brian Regan (1,570 in 2011) and Daishi Goto (1,583 in 2012) set school records for rushing yards in consecutive seasons. Drob was a three-year starter along the offensive line and also was a top defensive player as a senior with 35 tackles, six TFLs and three sacks.

Drob also has offers from Sacred Heart and Kutztown.
