Murder victims remembered

Faith-based movement against gun violence plants 331 crosses and T-shirts on the law of a Chestnut Hill church.

Heading God's Call, a faith-based movement against gun violence, mounted a strong visual protest along Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill – a field of 331 crosses on the front lawn of the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, each holding a colorful T-shirt with the name, age and date of death of one of the city's 2012 murder victims.

"331 T-shirts for the 331 Philadelphians murdered during 2012, mostly by illegal guns," said a sign at the front of the display."

It's the latest in a series of protests in the Philadelphia area, described on the organization's website, www.heedinggodscall.org
