Fox29 is preparing to enter the 11 p.m. news wars within the next few weeks. I hear that 5 p.m. anchor and 10 p.m. interim coanchor Kerri-Lee Halkett has been tapped to anchor the half-hour 'cast, whose format is still being tweaked to make it stand out from the Big Three. Or that she worked at Baja Beach Tanning Centers and the Friendly's on Lancaster Avenue in Reading. (Hence, the whipped cream she's wearing in a few photos.)
Elton Brand's first Philly hoops match will be tonight's 12th annual Charlie Mack celebrity basketball game at the Liacouras Center.
Seldom is a plumber the hero at Citizens Bank Park. But to Phillies fan Patrice Marchesani of Bensalem, Lynn Straker went "above and beyond the call of duty" Saturday.
Stephen Starr says he's always wanted to do a French bistro. What about Blue Angel, which he ran near Washington Square from 1999 to 2003? "That room was long and narrow," Starr says. "It was hard to get the scale I wanted."
¡Uno dos tres! Looks like a Mexican revolution is about to blow in Northern Liberties. Dave Frank and Stephen Simons (Royal Tavern, Cantina Los Caballitos) let on that Cantina Dos Segundos is the name of their project in the former Azure (931 N. Second St.), and they hope to open mid-month. They're going for vivid colors and a candlelit int
