Silence I close my eyes. A heavenly break from a noisy classroom, this quiet spot is perfect. It's not really silent, but compared to a busy, stressful life, the fresh outdoors seems to heal all things hurting inside of me. I take a deep, reviving breath.

 

Student Spotlight

Student: Eliza Catalino. School: George School in Newtown, where she is a senior. Achievement: Catalino, 17, is one of five students to win a $10,000 Opportunities Through Education Scholarship sponsored by Latina magazine and Maybelline.

 

School Notes

Jennifer Lentine, a senior at Neshaminy High School, has been named the Bucks County Teen Volunteer of the Year. Lentine, 18, of Langhorne, received $250 as the winner in a program sponsored by the YWCA of Bucks County. She was one of 17 students nominated for the award.
