ON May 17, the community of Port Richmond held a Mass for Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski at Nativity BVM Church. I was asked to speak at the end of the Mass on behalf of the people of my neighborhood to address the Liczbinski family. This is adapted from what I said.
DEAN MARTIN once said, "It's Frank's world, we just live in it." Ten years after his death, the tributes are still coming in. Last week, the Postal Service issued a stamp in his honor.
IN 2006, with my background as a telecommunications consultant, I spoke at the city's wireless hearings. I drew on research from around the world, primarily on the health and safety of this technology and its negative biological effects on people, plants and animals. I also pointed out that Philadelphia was not a leader in either the science of this technology nor had it done even one study on its safety.
THE VIEWS expressed in the article "Mosque: We Will Not Bury This Muslim" are of those who were interviewed but don't necessarily reflect the Holy Koran or the Philadelphia Muslim community.
