Clearing the record

A sentence was left out of the "Well Being" column Monday describing David Brooks' new book, The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievement. The paragraph should have read: "Depending on how much your brain is stimulated, you could end up with 100 trillion, 500 trillion or 1,000 trillion synapses. A mere 60 brain neurons are capable of making 1081 possible connections. The number of particles in the known universe is about one-tenth that number!"
