A world news brief Sunday on an earthquake misstated the name of the capital of Costa Rica, which is San Jose.
A story Sunday on a fire at an apartment complex in Ogontz misstated the name of the school used as a temporary command complex by emergency workers. It was the Howe School at 5800 N. 13th St.
A television column on Saturday by critic Jonathan Storm erred in saying that the PBS show Make 'Em Laugh (which starts at 9 p.m. Wednesday on WHYY TV12) does not feature Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld or Steve Martin. All three are in the show.
A story Saturday said in error that researchers were laid off from the Museum of Natural History in Philadelphia. In fact, the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology announced last year that it would lay off 18 researchers, but the museum has not done so.
