Pa. Boys: 1st soccer crown for Prep Charter
It was the Huskies' first Public League Class AA soccer championship in their first title appearance.
It was a come-from-behind one, as George Eastwood and Jude Kpollie scored after spotting the Blue Dragons (3-8) a 1-0 second-half lead. Eastwood, a freshman forward, tied the game with 15 minutes left and eight minutes later crossed a pass to Kpollie, who found the range from a spot six yards out in front of the Masterman net.
The win lifted the Huskies (11-2-2), regular-season champions of the league's Division B, into the District 12 Class AA title game against Catholic League representative Kennedy-Kenrick tomorrow at 3 p.m.
