Moorestown rallies to tackle Triton
Triton (1-6 overall, 0-4 division) bolted to a 20-7 advantage at intermission with touchdowns from Julian Stewart, John Locascio and Payam Razavi, who caught a short TD pass from Locascio as time expired in the second quarter.
In the second half, the comeback started with a Dell Champion field goal, followed by Lindenman's 81-yard sprint for a touchdown.
Jaskowski's 19-yard run with nine minutes left in the final period put the Quakers (4-3, 2-3) ahead to stay, and he and Lindenman each finished the game with TD bolts over 50 yards.
Washington Township 23, Lenape 14 - Trailing by 14-7 at halftime, Washington Township (5-1, 4-1) used a stingy defense that forced a safety and a 48-yard TD run by Charlie Hough to rally past host Lenape (2-5, 2-5) in the American Division.
Short TD runs by Shariff Cooper and Stefan Kancylarz put Lenape in front. The Minutemen tied the game on Nick Valori's 12-yard touchdown pass to Kordel McInnis, setting the stage for Hough's game-winner later in the third period.
Cherokee 36, Cherry Hill West 6 - The combination of Andy Martin's passing and Sean Farrell's rushing steered American Division leader Cherokee (6-0, 5-0) to an easy win over visiting West (2-4, 1-4).
Martin completed 7 of 11 passes for 90 yards and one touchdown, and ran for a pair of scores as the Chiefs built a 26-0 halftime advantage.
Farrell, who carried the ball a dozen times for 60 yarsd, scored on a 6-yard run.
Cinnaminson 21, Holy Cross 14 - Michael Gallo threw for 109 yards and one touchdown while Eric Riley rushed for 91 yards and two scores, as the host Pirates (5-1, 2-1) defeated the National Division rival Lancers for the first time since 1985.
Austin Stein countered with 218 yards passing for Holy Cross (2-4, 0-4), including a 15-yard TD toss to Josh Sherman (73 yards receiving).
Palmyra 27, New Egypt 0 - Maurice Calhoun ran for two touchdowns and threw a 25-yard scoring strike to Joe Richardson, powering the host Panthers (5-2, 4-0) to the easy Freedom Division victory.
New Egypt (1-5, 1-4) suffered its third consecutive loss.
Seneca 34, Northern Burlington 0 - Steve Greco intercepted three passes and raced 28 yards with a pick for the final score for the host Golden Eagles (4-2) in the inter-division domination of Northern Burlington (2-5).
Tri-County
P.J. James churned out 267 yards on 16 carries to surpass the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season, and the junior tailback scored three times as host Glassboro (6-0, 3-0) pounded Pennsville, 42-0, in a Diamond Division mismatch.The Bulldogs erupted for 35 points in the second quarter and amassed 461 yards of total offense on the night.
Glassboro also played defense, shutting down Pennsville (5-1, 1-1), which had averaged 40 points per game over its last four games.
Highland 15, Clearview 6 - Sean Daniels ran for two touchdowns, including a 78-yard burst in the opening quarter that put the host Tartans (5-2, 3-2) ahead to stay in the Royal Division conquest of Clearview (1-5, 0-4).
Gloucester 39, Salem 12 - Steve Kumpf did most of the work on offense for Gloucester (2-5), carrying the ball 40 times to help beat visiting Salem (1-5).
Kumpf, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior, piled up 250 yards on the ground and scored the Lions' first five touchdowns.
Colonial
Jimmy Owens scored four times, including runs of 75 and 63 yards that ballooned his night's rushing total to 205 yards, and Vaughn Scott added three TDs and 135 yards on a dozen carries as host West Deptford (7-0) soared, 55-14, over Haddon Township in an inter-division game.The Hawks (4-3) lost despite jumping out to a 14-0 lead on a pair of TDs by Doug Groff.
Haddon Heights 24, Lindenwold 0 - Jim Liquori lobbed a 53-yard bomb to Mike Pitts to cap the inter-division romp by the visiting Garnets (4-2).
Lindenwold (2-4) failed to score for the first time this season.
Cape-Atlantic
Dominick Askins' 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown ignited the spark that rallied Millville from a 7-0 deficit to a 12-7 American Conference victory over visiting Mainland (3-3, 3-2).Mainland scored its only touchdown in the opening period against a Millville (4-3, 3-3) defense that has allowed one TD or less in four of seven games.
Askins' touchdown brought the Thunderbolts within 7-6, and he added the game-winner on a 15-yard TD run in the third quarter.
Holy Spirit 34, Bridgeton 0 - Sophomore Nigel Jones dominated Spirit's National Conference triumph at Bridgeton (3-4, 3-3) with four touchdowns and 199 yards rushing.
Jones, a 5-foot-10, 190-pounder, scored on runs ranging from 5 to 11 yards over the last three quarters for the Spartans (5-1, 4-1).
Hammonton 27, Vineland 7 - Cousins David and Nick Crescenzo each ran for a score to get the visiting Blue Devils (6-0, 6-0) off on the right foot, and senior fullback Josh Baez added a pair of late TDs to sew up the American Conference win at Vineland (1-5, 0-5).
Buena 27, Lower Cape May 7 - Donetae McKinnon shouldered the load for the host Chiefs (4-2, 3-1), rushing for a touchdown in each quarter of the National Conference game. Lower Cape May (0-6, 0-4) briefly pulled even in the first half on Michael Mulligan's 1-yard plunge.
