Flyers' rookie camp opens Monday with 29 players

The Flyers will open their rookie camp at Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday. Twenty-nine rookies and prospects are expected to be in attendance.

The Flyers will open their rookie camp at Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday. Twenty-nine rookies and prospects are expected to be in attendance.

The camp will include three days of on-ice practice sessions and will conclude with a game between the Flyers rookies and the Washington Capitals rookies at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va.

Among the players participating in this camp are 2010 draft picks Michael Chaput, Tye McGinn, Brendan Ranford, and Ricard Blidstrand; free-agent acquisitions Ben Holmstrom, Andrew Rowe, and Michael Testwuide; and goaltenders Sergei Bobrovsky, Adam Morrison, Nic Riopel, and Brian Stewart.

On-ice practices will take place beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. All sessions are open to the public and free of charge.

The Flyers open full training camp at Skate Zone in Voorhees on Sept. 18.
