Hornets snap Hawks' streak
Fellow rookie Marcus Thornton scored 21 for the resurgent Hornets, who made 12 of 17 three-point attempts. Peja Stojakovic hit five from long range and finished with 17 points, while David West had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Jamal Crawford scored 20 for the Hawks, who became the second straight division leader to lose in New Orleans after Phoenix fell to the Hornets on Thursday night.
Marvin Williams added 17, Josh Smith had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Al Horford contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds, but Atlanta went 4 of 22 from three-point range and fell to 11-3. New Orleans raised its record to 6-8.
