Phila. Marathon set for tomorrow

The 16th annual Philadelphia Marathon is set for tomorrow, and here are some facts you might like to know:

The weather is expected to be touch-and-go, with temperatures in the 50s but cloudy and with a chance of rain.

The start time is 7 a.m., and the first runner usually crosses the finish line in about 2 hours, 20 minutes.

The start/finish line is at 22d Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The 26.2-mile marathon is sanctioned by USA Track and Field.

The top five male and female finishers in each of 13 age groups will receive awards.

The male and female winners receive $3,500 each. The second-place male and female receive $2,000 each, third-place $1,000 each, fourth-place $750 each, and fifth-place $500 each.

The first Masters division male and female receive $1,000 each, and the first male and female Philadelphian receive $1,000 each.
