Carpenter and IronPigs pulverize Pawtucket

ALLENTOWN - Andrew Carpenter gave up only two hits in seven shutout innings while striking out nine as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs beat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 12-0, in the International League last night.

AKRON, Ohio - Josh Tomlin gave up three hits in seven innings as the Aeros beat the Phillies in the Eastern League.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Zach Collier's two-run single capped a three-run ninth as the BlueClaws beat the Intimidators in the South Atlantic League.
