Philadelphian Eddie Chambers will be the next WBO challenger for world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.Chambers (35-1, 18 knockouts) outpointed the WBO's No. 1-ranked Alexander Dimitrenko (29-1, 19K's) over 12 rounds in a World Boxing Organization eliminator at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, Germany.
Dimitrenko took a standing count from referee Geno Rodriguez after a body shot from Chambers in Round 7.
Scores were 113-113, 116-111, and 117-109.

Anselmo Moreno (26-1-1) of Panama retained his World Boxing Association bantamweight title with a split decision over Mahyar Monshipour (31-4-2) of France.
Two judges in Poitiers, France, scored the bout 116-113 and 116-112 in favor of Moreno, while the third gave the fight to Monshipour, 115-113.

The Los Angeles Kings acquired left winger Ryan Smyth from the Colorado Avalanche late Friday night for defensemen Kyle Quincey and Tom Preissing and a fifth-round draft pick next year.

Presious Passion scored a repeat victory in the $750,000 United Nations Stakes, smashing the course record at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, N.J.The 6-year-old gelding ran the 13/8 miles on the firm turf in 2 minutes, 10.97 seconds, wiping out the mark of 2:12.89 set by English Channel in the 2007 U.N.
After leading by 20 lengths in the early stages, Presious Passion held off Lauro by two lengths, with Brass Hat third.
The U.N. was a Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" stakes, ensuring a spot for Presious Passion in this year's Breeders' Cup Turf.

Hall of Fame rider Mike Smith is back on Mine That Bird, piloting the Kentucky Derby winner in the $750,000 West Virginia Derby and the $1 million Travers Stakes next month.
He takes over for Calvin Borel, who guided the 3-year-old gelding to a longshot win in the Derby and added a third-place finish in the Belmont Stakes.
Smith guided Mine That Bird to second place in the Preakness after Borel opted to ride filly Rachel Alexandra, which edged Mine That Bird for the win.
Trainer Bennie Woolley Jr. decided to drop Borel after the jockey said he couldn't make a firm commitment to ride Mine That Bird the rest of the year.
Rowing
Ivy League rivals Princeton and Brown advanced to the final of the Temple Cup for student eights at the Henley Royal Regatta on the Thames in England.Princeton beat Amsterdamsche Studenten Roeivereeniging Nereus of Holland by three-quarters of a length, and Brown beat Melbourne University of Australia by 21/4 lengths to set up today's all-American final, the only one at this year's regatta.
