Phillies Notes

Condrey to the DL

The Phillies have placed righthanded reliever Clay Condrey on the 15-day disabled list with a strained muscle in his rib cage.

Lefthander Sergio Escalona has been recalled from triple-A Lehigh Valley to take Condrey's spot.

Condrey, who has not pitched since Thursday, is 4-2 with a 3.71 ERA in 33 games for the Phils.

This will be Escalona's third stint with the Phils this season. He is 1-0 with a 4.15 ERA in four games.
