Ellison's slam gives IronPigs a rain-shortened, 11-1 win

NORFOLK, Va. - Jason Ellison's grand slam keyed a seven-run fourth inning as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs routed the Norfolk Tides, 11-1, in a rain-shortened International League game last night.

J.J. Furmaniak also homered and drove in two runs for Lehigh Valley in a contest that was called in the sixth inning because of rain.

Francisco Butto got the win with 22/3 shutout innings in relief of Kyle Kendrick.

A rain delay in the first inning meant the end of Kendrick's night, with Butto coming on when play resumed.

The game included a total of 2 hours, 7 minutes of rain delays and 2:02 of actual playing time.
