Arkansas rallies in 9th, wins in 12th

OMAHA, Neb. - Andrew Darr doubled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th inning as Arkansas rallied to defeat Virginia, 4-3, last night in the College World Series.

The Razorbacks had been down to their last strike in the ninth, but Brett Eibner's two-out, two-run homer off closer Kevin Arico tied the score at 3-3.

Arkansas' Dallas Keuchel put the tying or winning run on base in the last four innings, but escaped each jam.

The Razorbacks (41-23) play Louisiana State tomorrow and would have to beat the Tigers then and again on Saturday to reach next week's best-of-three finals.

Virginia (49-15-1) was eliminated after going 1-2 in Omaha.

In tonight's game, North Carolina (48-17) plays Arizona State (50-13) at 7 o'clock Eastern Daylight Time
