Phils' minor-leaguer Ozuna suspended for drugs

NEW YORK - Triple-A Lehigh Valley infielder Pablo Ozuna, 34, has been suspended 50 games for taking performance-enhancing drugs, under the minor-league drug program.

According to Major League Baseball, Ozuna showed an "elevated testosterone/epitesterone ratio."

This is Ozuna's first season with the Phillies organization. In 309 games over seven major-league seasons, Ozuna batted .282. He spent most of spring training with the Phillies and is batting .294 in 51 games with the IronPigs.

"It is unfortunate that Pablo has been suspended for 50 games," general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said in a statement. "However, the Phillies are in full support of the major- and minor-league drug prevention and treatment program."
