Louisville stops Notre Dame in OT

Terrence Williams had 24 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists as 20th-ranked Louisville ran by No. 12 Notre Dame, 87-73, in overtime last night in Louisville, Ky.

Freshman Samardo Samuels added 18 points, six rebounds and four blocks, and Earl Clark had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Louisville (12-3, 3-0 Big East), which won its fourth straight.

Luke Harangody had 28 points and 13 rebounds for Notre Dame (12-4, 3-2).

Oklahoma 76, Texas 63 - Blake Griffin racked up his 14th double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the No. 6 Sooners over the No. 11 Longhorns.

Willie Warren scored 17 points as the Sooners (16-1, 2-0 Big 12) built a big lead and then thwarted a second-half rally by Texas (12-4, 1-1).

Elsewhere: Adelwale Adefemi scored 17 points as the University of the Sciences beat visiting Columbia Union, 67-45. . . . James Jones scored 35 points, but Delaware Valley lost to Wilkes, 91-81, in overtime in Doylestown.

Women

Duke 68, Maryland 65 - Jasmine Thomas scored 15 points and hit four clutch free throws in the closing seconds to help the No. 4 Blue Devils beat the No. 12 Terrapins in Durham, N.C., for their 12th straight victory.

Joy Cheek had 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Chante Black added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Blue Devils (14-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Marissa Coleman scored 14 for Maryland (13-3, 1-1).

Georgia Tech 68, Miami 50 - Jacqua Williams and Alex Montgomery each scored 18 points to lead the 24th-ranked Yellow Jackets over the Hurricanes in Coral Gables, Fla.

Iasia Hemingway added 11 for Georgia Tech (13-3, 1-1 ACC), which has won nine of its last 10 games.

The Hurricanes (10-7, 0-3) were led by Diane Barnes, who scored 11 points.

Elsewhere: Stephanie Deisley scored 18 points as Rutgers-Camden broke an 11-game losing streak with a 76-52 win at Penn State-Abington. . . . Vanessa Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds but Rosemont lost to visiting Keystone, 76-65. . . . Brittany McLeod scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Cabrini defeated Notre Dame, 71-48, in Baltimore.

Alison Nelson scored 11 points as Gwynedd-Mercy took an 86-50 victory over visiting Philadelphia Biblical, which got 21 from Dani Norton. . . . Kim Vennera scored 21 points but Delaware Valley was defeated by Wilkes, 74-57, in Doylestown.
