Phantoms let a victory slip away

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford Wolf Pack scored three times in the final seven minutes to force overtime and went on to a 5-4 AHL victory over the Phantoms last night.

Pierre Parenteau scored the game-winner just 37 seconds into overtime.

The Phantoms' lead over second-place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the Eastern Division is down to a single point. The Penguins beat Hershey, 6-2, for their ninth straight win.

The Phantoms had gotten two goals from Triston Grant and built a 3-1 lead going into the third period.

With the Phantoms clinging to a 4-3 lead and the Hartford net empty, Greg Moore zipped a backhander past goaltender Martin Houle with just 15 seconds left in regulation time.
